2020 Pinot Noir, Mendocino County

A selection of premier Mendocino County vineyards--both coastal and valley--were selected for this wine, with an emphasis on dry-farming, older vines, and sustainable viticulture. The 2020 is stuffed with barrels of $5000+ per ton Pinot fruit from renowned deep-end Anderson Valley designates, providing the complex, blue flower power. A new source in the Redwood Valley gives the wine its core of juicy red fruit. Pinot Noir clones 115, 667, 777, 2A, 838, Pommard clone, and Martini all play a role in the final blend. The resulting wine could be described as "bistro friendly"--food friendly and quaffable, but importantly, still authentic. This is a wine bespoke of the nearby ocean, coastal redwood forests, and inland river valleys.
